Hey there! I’m Alfonso Algara, a film director and documentary producer with a perspective shaped by my background as a professional musician and my crazy personal journey. I've been fortunate to live the vibrant culture of Guatemala, my hometown, the warmth of Honduras, the rich traditions of Mexico, and the diversity of the U.S. I carry the essence of these cultures with me wherever I go. A wonderful mix of experiences that enriches my life and informs my storytelling.

By the way, I’m thrilled to share that my recent film, 'Las Amazonas De Yaxunah,' created for ESPN, has received some amazing recognition! It was nominated for a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Long Documentary, won a NAMIC Award and a Red Nation Award, and was featured at some fantastic events like the Morelia Film Festival, LALIFF, and NYLIFF. My passion for crafting meaningful and engaging content is at the heart of everything I do, and I can’t wait to keep telling stories that matter!
